How I Help

People

My Approach

To Serving You

Relational. I believe the therapy relationship is the most important component of any positive therapy experience, and where healing really starts. I will work to earn your trust and create a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. You can also expect to laugh! Therapy with me is anything but boring. I bring who I am outside of therapy into the therapy room; and humor is a non-negotiableI believe therapy should be enjoyable, and I hope you look forward to sessions even when we talk about the hard stuff

Integrative. I bridge my lived experience with evidence-based and body-based practices, and focus on doing what works for you. Specifically, I integrate components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal Theory to help facilitate change.

Collaborative. We will work together to identify your values, goals, and the obstacles between where you are now and where you want to be. We will also develop a plan for how to get you there. I'm not the expert on you, nor do I presume to have all the answers. But I will bring my knowledge, skills, and experience as I walk alongside you on your journey. I will listen non-judgmentally, support you, give you tools, and push you toward your goals and the life you want. As your therapist, you can expect me to always be kind, be honest, and be in your corner.

Holistic. I view mental health and overall wellness from a whole-person and holistic lens. This means we will look at where you are now and where you want to be from a physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual perspective. It's all connected!
